I bought this as part of the screen on my laptop died. Out of warranty it cost too much to repair, especially as the rest of the unit was fine. The ideal solution seemed to be an external monitor, and this was a cost-effective solution. There's better quality to be had, but of course you pay for it! This is a good monitor for the price, especially as it's dual input (VGA/DVI). I'm running it through the VGA connector and it does the job at 1440x900. No dodgy pixels. Would be better if it swivelled and the height was adjustable, and the buttons feel a little flimsy, but it's all bearable, and with a 3-year warranty, it seems well backed up. Oh, and well done to Dabs for prompt delivery.
Monitor came this morning after ordering Sat delivery yesterday. Ordered just before the £10 price increase luckily:) Service from Dabs was great. Made me feel like a valued customer and contact via email was easy to read and understand. The monitor itself is great although for some reason the driver won't install but after some fiddling with the settings and in the nvidia control panel (6800GT) everything looks great. Played some Condemned and it looks beautiful with vibrant colours and no ghosting. Am using a seperate DVI cable as only a VGA cable is supplied with monitor. All in all i'm very impressed with the quality, especially at this price. Oh and not one Dead Pixel!! :) Recommended
It is really great Monitor and was quite cheap,so why spend more many for other monitors when this one does the job, great.
One for a backup PC (I have a home network) and one for a budget new PC I was building. I have found no minus points for this monitor and will be swapping it with my my Samsung when I receive the higher spec. graphics card I have on order (driver & gaming problems). This monitor is exceptionally good value for money.
I read loads of reviews and they were ALL 5* for this monitor. So, I bought one. To be honest, even 5* isn't high enough - the quality is amazing and it looks just great - unless you need really fast rise times don't pay any more!
Bought one over a year ago for my own use, ace product, easy to set up and use, good quality No dead pixels, very good value for money. Just purchased another for the kid’s P.C, well done Dab’s, very good product, nicely priced, recommend this 19” Hanns-G to everyone.
I bought 2 of these for video editing. Totally superb. I actually own the 4.3 versions, not these 16.9 widescreens, but they are all the same inside. I found that they are very bright indeed & had to reduce the brightness to '0'. Not good for photo editing, as they give false readings. But for video editing & gaming etc, awesome!!
I bought this monitor nearly 18 months ago and the quality has been nothing short of superb. Very easy to set up as a shared monitor between my PC and my Xbox 360; the onboard speakers are perfectly reasonable for the price and the quality is far higher than I would have expected. I am now considering buying a second and am very happy to see the price has stayed so low!
Great image quality, good response time, fine for gaming or watching videos.
One bad point is that it doesn't come with a DVI cable, only VGA. But it does come with an adapter, so you're not stuck if you've only got DVI outputs. I would however recommend a DVI cable, they're about £10 for a good quality dual link cable and it does seem to improve the image quality.
Arrived in two days. Unpacked it and was pleased from the word go. Piece of cake to set up. Great picture after tinkering with the setting. Would recommend to anyone.
