Best value for money on a widescreen TFT.
Although not the largest widescreen on the market, at this price it is brilliant.
Not one dead pixel.
No monitor driver for 64 bit, but just use default plug and play monitor driver and it works fine.
Don't buy it for the speakers though.

Excellent

Bought this to replace an old 17" Samtron CRT. Arrived within 2 days, fired up with zero dead pixels. The 3 year on site warranty also provides peace of mind. Supplied with VGA cable, power lead, and speaker cable. I hooked mine through DVI (cable not supplied). Monitor provides sharp vivid colours and no motion blurr when watching DVDs or playing games. Dawn Of War looked fantastic! Due to higher resolution required 1440*900 I would recommend a decent graphics card for driving the monitor (my trusty FX5900XT worked perfectly).

DVI connection

monitor looks good in VGA, but bought a DVI cable to use with it, plugged it in, rebooted and nothing! no signal input it says. My graphic card supports DVI-I analoge/digital, but the monitor stays black....any ideas anyone?

Very, very happy

Replaced my old 19 inch CRT with this and I'm very glad with my choice. Brilliant bright display with a full set of working pixels. Speakers set rear facing on the back of the unit, controls on the side, keeping it's look very tidy from the front - just the display area and a small surround., very smart.

Don't buy it for it's speakers though. Too small to produce any real punch and no bass at all. But really, at this price you can afford £20 for a halfway decent set of desktop speakers.

Excellent value for £125. Would buy another one right away of I needed one.

Great monitor, great value

I can't believe I waited so long to buy a monitor like this after putting up with eye strain on my crappy old Evesham 15" CRT. This has breathed new life into all my PC activities, especially gaming. Stylish, no dead pixels and a screen so bright and sharp. A must buy at a great price.

Excellent value

This is a beautiful monitor. Works perfectly with my Mac Mini, or a Linux PC. I didn't read the booklet that came with it though, and the buttons on the right side are nearly invisible. I was looking for them for 5 minutes before I found them. They can be a bit tricky to use them because of that.

My First TFT so i was worried all the associated problems.
I was worried that for the price that i would be ridden with dead pixels and other issues, but I cant lavish enough praise on this screen.
It's very bright and sharp, good true colours (I’m a photographer so that’s very important to me) The design is very slim and unobtrusive
I’m also a gamer ghosting hasn’t been a problem.
Abit disappointed it didn’t come with a DVI cable.
As regards to Resolutions, I'm running at 1440x900 and it looks amazing.
As for the speakers I can’t comment as i use 5.1 off my sound card
The viewing angle is excellent and the stand, whilst looking a little cheap is very sturdy, my only gripe is that you can’t adjust it but the viewing angle is so good I wouldn’t need to anyway.
I'll be buying another as soon as I get my next pay cheque it’s that good!
I’m run a ATI X1900 XT/Conroe E6300/2gigs DDR2 PC5300

Brilliant Product
Reviewed by Terry P. Review Posted 10/09/2006

I have to say that this product is probably the best thing I have bought over the internet and i've loads of stuff. The screen is sharp with very vivid colors. The responds very fast. The screen doesn't rotate - thats about the only nitpicking I would do about this product because I really cannot fault it in anyway. Best money i've spent, my eyes feel fine now after years of putting up with crappy old CRT screens. I love it!!!

Superb Monitor
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 11/09/2006

This screen is so good I instantly bought another. Not a dead pixel on either one.

Note that colour is set to 100% by default and needs dropping to 65-70% for perfect DVD playback. Brightness may also need to be reduced. Set refresh rate to 60Hz as LCD does not flicker like CRTs.

Confused by the few bad reviews and suspect those customers got faulty panels or have bad connections. Google this item, you will find photos of working screens owned by delighted gamers.
