Bought this on the spurr of the moment, the specs of this screen for the money was extreemly good value. It arrived the next day, got'a love Dab's for that :) Unrapped it with excitement only to fell let down. The Screen looked fine, don't get me wrong. It was the actual size for me that was the dissapointment. I currently use a standard 4:3 19" LCD and, well... This just looked so small in comparison. If you are upgrading from a 17" CRT or using it as a second monitor, then this will be an excelent choice, but as a main... for me no. Picture was bright and clear, colours good and it did seem to perform well in games. One stuck pixel, on red, but it wasn't that noticable, but ease of use wasn't the nicest I've come across. Personaly, 22" - 24" if going for a wide screen, 19"+ if staying with the 4:3 aspect.

I ordered the screen at 4pm and it arrived the next day by 2pm... That's impressive to say the least. The quality of the screen seems pretty good. No dead pixels...WooHoo!! The buttons on the side of the screen are utter rubbish. They do the job, but I would not be wanting to press them all the time. The screen has a great dislplay once you spend a short time adjusting the settings. It's shipped with it's brightness at 100% which is blinding. The contrast also needed tweaking. I am purley using the screen as a TV at the moment, and after a week I have to say it's great. Don't bother with the built in speakers... It's as good as not having any... thats how bad they are. All in all I'm pretty happy.

Hanns G 19" Widescreen Monitor

Nice bright crisp picture and easy setup. The only fault with this monitor, is the poor sound quality from its built in speakers. Have set volume controls to maximum but the output is not as good as my digimate 17" LCD monitor and the sound is rather tinny. This is the biggest failure in its design, otherwise it would be an excellent monitor.

Good Quality Value

Great product for the budding home user looking the best value for their hard-earned money. If you're like me and want to see the image quality and not look too much at the brand, then it's great! Nice slim outer frame, suitable for 2x side by side. Can be wall mounted if needed. Very bright display. But if you're as unlucky and as easily annoyed as me, you may win the lottery of stuck pixels! I got a nice red one in the top left. Foillowed all the lovely sites telling me how to "Massage" it back to life, but no joy. So one of lifes little annoyances. Now everyone says
"Wow! Great screen, what's the crack with the wee red dot up there????"
Just have to think how much worse off in life we could be, eh? :)
Go on... Buy one!

Over rated by some ex-CRT reviewers here

Main let down of this monitor are the buttons, located on the right side of the monitor. The buttons are recessed into the casing making them hard to press (I have to use the tip of a nail to press them) & they have no positive click/ feel when pressed. If you need to make regular adjustments, or will be using the volume buttons, then these buttons can be a real pain to use. I can see these buttons failing with regular/ hard use. Overall, a very good panel with good technical specifications. For the price the build quality is probably to be expected. If £130 (incl. del.) is your absolute max you can spend then go for it as there is nothing better out there at this price. If you can stretch £20-30 more then look around as there are better 1440 x 900 monitors out there (especially if you don't require DVI, eg. Belinea 1925S1W), with more practical designs & with better quality, more pro-looks.

Ordered PM Wednesday, arrived AM Thursday. That's what I call service! Monitor is real value for money.Simple to set up and results are brilliant.Picture is pin sharp using its recommended resolution settings and the display of photo files is as good as the real thing. As this is my first tft monitor since replacing previous CRTs, I have to give it a "4" otherwise it would have been a "5 plus!"

....Meh!

This monitor is without a doubt a exillent buy for the low price, it plays dvds, xbox 360's and games with superb results!

my only critisuim, as a web designer, the colours arent true enough, when compared to other high models, and even older monitors, the colours are to bright and blured, this shouldnt bother the average user, but any one using this for high profile graphic design, should consider spending more.

that said it really is a good deal otherwise!

Nice monitor, good picture however had problems with using DVI from startup, not too big a problem because i saw no advantage whatsoever of using DVI over VGA on this monitor. Nice bright picture, maybe a little too bright, but i am very pleased overall

The item is great, but the delivery by Home Delivery Network was extremely poor; very difficult to get the item from them after a failed delivery attempt. Pay the extra and use Royal Mail.
