Excellent Router

Excellent, works well. Gets a little hot but nothing to worry about.
RE: MAC Address filtering. Not checked mine, but MAC filtering is minimal security at best. MAC Spoofing is very easy to do, and so is capturing packets to find the address. Just use WPA2, MAC filtering is not worth the hastle TBH

Excellent modem/router...
Reviewed by Richard Thomas. Review Posted 15/01/2008
Love it. I have no experience with networks, and this is my first venture into broadband, but had absolutely no problems installing this modem. As soon as you open the box, it says "Insert CD first!", so I did. The on-screen instruction are very clear and easy to follow, and it auto-configured my modem without a problem. Wireless transmission strength is ok, travelling through two rooms and upstairs in my semi easily enough, but then again I do have a Edimax free-aerial WiFi card in my desktop, not one of these silly little USB stick things. The result is a "poor" signal strength, but the transmission rate on "poor" is still three times my broadband connection speed, so there's no slow-down of internet at all :-) Box includes 2 micro-filters, an ethernet patch cable, and two DSL cables. Unit looks neat, although it would be nice to have a vertical mount stand to reduce its footprint a bit. Only had it one day, but I'd already recommend it :-)

MAC address filtering?
Reviewed by Dave L. Review Posted 28/02/2008
Had this modem/router foisted on me after my DSL-G624T died on me after 2 weeks. It took about 7 weeks from first reporting the issue with D-Link to get a replacement. Their email based support is woefully slow and formats the emails badly.
Generally happy with it apart from trying to set up MAC address filtering which is barely mentioned in the manual and not at all in the web based config utility.
I would probably not buy another D-Link product based on this experience.
