Description
HP 317 Access Device Series integrates wired and wireless connectivity into a small unit that can be quickly installed in a standard wall outlet box. It provides four Ethernet ports, a 2.4 GHz wireless access point, and a pass-through RJ-45 connection to support a range of service and user connectivity options. One Ethernet port can be configured as an IEEE 802.3af-compliant PSE port for powering devices such as IP telephones. The HP 317 Access Device Series requires only a single Power over Ethernet (PoE) cable drop and provides wireless coverage for one room.

Comprehensive Security
The HP 317 Access Device Series protects wireless traffic between authenticated clients and the access point with 802.1X port based authentication.Locks out unauthorized wireless access by authenticating users prior to granting network access delivering higher security and data integrity of the wireless traffic with either Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) or Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP).Prevents communication between wireless devices associated with the same access point through local wireless bridge client traffic filtering.
