Works exactly like you had a serial port built into your machine.... never had any problems and good value for money.

I reviewed several for a client and this is the only one that worked flawlessly. Not the cheapest but the only one we'll be using in future.

Works well, but poor documentation

The device itself works well once installed, although this took some time. The supplied instructions are for Windows 2000 only and even then refer to drivers not supplied on the CD-ROM. The CD-ROM itself is confusing having drivers for several devices none of which seemed to match the device exactly.
Trial and error finally got it working.

Seems to work, but you will need to download the drivers from the startech website. The supplied disk does not contain the right drivers.
