I live on the outer most range for broadband at about 6 kilometers whch gave me a speed of about 512kbps I thought. But when I removed my internal wiring due to a fault I noticed with only my router connected to the master socket speed increased to 1.4mbps.
but every time I reconnected my internal wiring it dropped back to 512mbps. so I bought the i-plate in the hope that it would cure the problem and to my amazment it did. I think I have some sort of noise traveling down my internal cabling maybe due to their poximity to mains cables or something. but who cares now! it work I got 1.4mbps with everything reconnected. Happy days..
But be warned this product dosn't increase your broadband speed if you allready have a good connection, but wil give you the speed you should get if you have internal noise from domestic equipment.
If you suspect you have problems of this kind for £10 inc p&p you just gotta give it a go....

I had only ben able to get a max speed of 2.8Mbps according to all the speed tests I've done - at times this was dropping to 0.5Mbps. BT reports that the max for my line is 3Mbps, although some sites said up to 4Mbps. I bought the Iplate hoping that it may help the low end of the performance, but after installing (a one minute job) and resetting the router a couple of times, I am now seeing 4.8Mbps dropping to 2.8Mbps when before it had been showing 0.5Mbps. A staggering change for a few pounds. I can't explain it, but it does work... at least for me.

Having had BT check my wiring in the house 3 months ago, I did not think this would work.
Reset the router 5 times this morning, and the average speed was 3.4Mb, fitted the I-plate and after 5 resets, average is 5.1! Only took 1 mnt to fit as well.

I live nearly 3 miles from exchange and bt said i could only get half meg download.

I installed the I-Plate and i get almost 5meg download.

This is a fantastic product.

Only being 25 meters from our BT exchange I didn't think this gadget would be of much use. However even I noticed an increase in my internet speed. Well done iPlate. So easy to install too!

This piece of kit is great- it can seriously up the speed up your existing broadband by isolating the un-used bell wire thereby elimination a lot of the interference caused by the wire.

Instant speed increase from 4.7 to 7.7 Mb/s. That's what I call value for money!

Fitted an I-Plate today and at the moment it seems to have improved my broadband performance. Not the 1.4ish M/b(or better)experienced by others, but certainly 0.5 M/b and as I'm about 4 miles from the exchange on overhead lines, I'll take anything I can get.
So, pleased so far !

Good product. Didn't increase my speed but it made my connection much more stable.

Used to cut out in the evenings unless I got Be* to set my connection to a very low speed, now with the iPlate I can get 12Meg stable.

It does what it says on the box.

You can, however, achieve exactly the same result simply by pulling the wire from pin 3 inside the BT box - This is all the i-plate does.

But if that's beyond you, then the i-plate id for you.

Pure simplicity. Well done BT.
