This is a gorgeous case, that provides some amazing cooling, but could do with some improvement
Pros:
- Looks great
- Brilliant Cooling
- Loads of space
Cons:
- Since the PSU mounts at the bottom check that your motherboard power cable will reach (mine didn't).
- Fiddily hard drive cages that are more trouble than they are worth
But overall, a very good case.
Not small inside but I’d have liked a little more room.
The 2 HDD cages can mount up to 3x 3.5” HDDs each with a 120mm (blue LED) fan at the front.
Behind the CPU heatsink is another 120mm fan exhausting out the rear.
Top is a 200mm fan expelling air. Excellent design for full system airflow; takes full advantage of thermodynamics.
You can easily mount a 120mm on the side panel (not supplied), firing air straight at your graphics card. I recommend it!
The HDD cages require 8 thumbscrews each to removed, but are a great design
Fans have controllers with low/medium/high settings, but inside the case.
2 USB, 1 Firewire & 1x headset & mic jacks on the top/front of the case, & a little rubber bottomed ‘shelf’ on top.
Wipe down the grills as they will accumulate dust pretty quickly.
Not ideal is its construction; steel rather than aluminium.
Cheaper construct costs are being passed onto the consumer, but moving it can be a pain!
For a gamer or enthusiast – I Love this case.
This case is great for those who need a cool pc environment..
It's not the lightest, nor smallest case, but definitely one I would purchase again.
Very quiet fan operation with 3 speed options on each fan.
Even when all fans were set to medium for a test, you could hardly hear them running. For day to day operation, I keep them all set to the slowest speed and the pc remains nice and cool in a room that’s rarely anything but warm.
I removed the internal fan mounting on the hard drive cases as I had an overly large graphics card, it also gave a little more room for cables etc (the case isn’t as roomy as you may think) but I haven’t had a need to use the 2 extra fan mounts as it runs so cool anyway.
The one change I may make is to fit filters to the fans, as the amount of air it draws into the case means it accumulates dust fairly fast.
Oh and as it's made from steel, so watch for sharp corners...
I have never spent this much on a case before, but this time decided to go for quality rather than cheap.
I am not disappointed. As standard the case has 4 fans, two at the front, one huge 200mil one at the top and another one at the back.
There is also an option to install another fan in either the HDD cage or on the side of the case, I installed another Antec fan in the HDD cage.
So with the 5 fans in the case + PSU, GPU & CPU fans you would expect it to be extremely loud?
No not at all, its very quiet. Not only that, as you would expect it keeps the system very very cool.
The aesthetics of the case are amazing, it looks the piece - it indeed looks very cool!
My only gripe with this case, as already mentioned, is the lack of dust filters. I feel I will be cleaning this fairly often.
I recently bought this case and I'm very happy with it.
Smart looks, it's quiet and my gosh is it cool.
Only downside being that the power supply goes in the bottom of the case and one of my cables only barely reached.
Luckily I bought a new PSU together with the case (which so happened to have longer cables than my old one), I doubt my MB's power-cable would have reached at all otherwise.
Overall a very good product, I would definitely recommend it to friends :)
Fantastic case, looks great, suprisingly quiet for a case with so many fans. Yet it keeps my overclocked CPU, memory and graphics cool and comfortable at all times. I love it!
Bought for a new build PC.
Very well thought out design.
Excellent ventilation with 4 case fans, keeps my overclocked Q6600 well cooled, and the top fan can cool a couple of external HDs too!
Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
