It provides you with access to all of the major catch up TV services, including BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and 4OD. You'll also receive TV recommendations, straight to your TV daily, so there'll always be something to watch.
It uses your internet connection to provide you with access to catch up TV services on demand, so the programmes you want to watch are ready when you are. Access over 200 channels, including sports, music and entertainment, and lets you plan ahead so you'll never miss the best shows. Your recommendations can be found at the touch of a button, and it also includes a search function to make it easy to find shows.
SMART media and free HD TV
From catch-up TV and movies on-demand to web-browsing and chatting online to friends, the VIERA TX-58 features all the online features you could want.
While all the main British TV catch-up services are included, you can download a wealth of other apps and programs from the built-in app store to create a comprehensive online media library directly on your TV.
The VIERA TX-58 features both Freeview HD and Freesat HD, making it easy to enjoy your preferred digital broadcasts in high definition.
You don't have to worry about missing out when you're out and about either. The freetime programme guide not only let's you view TV programmes seven days ahead, but seven days in the past, with the option to watch available programmes from the past in catch-up TV straight from the guide. It makes finding your favourite programmes easier than ever, even if you've missed them.
Plus, the TV has four tuners over the more familiar two, meaning you're only an additional hard drive away from recording TV that might not feature in catch-up services.
Personalised viewing
The Info Bar located at the bottom of the screen is designed to keep you up to date with what matters to you, and can be set to provide live news, reminders, notes and personalised recommendations from My Stream.
My Stream is a wealth of content recommended to you and your family by your viewing habits and preferences. Along with TV scheduled in the future, My Stream also recommends things you might have missed from catch-up services, meaning there's always something to watch you'll enjoy.
