Awesome!!
Bought this to protect data at home with Raid and hot swappable drives and hopefully solve my media serving problems to Xbox 360 and PS3.
It does both brilliantly and I can now sleep peacefully at night knowing the data is secure and that the kids don't need me to get music playing on the Xbox.
Print serving was a breeze too so that's stopped the wife nagging when she wants to print from her laptop.
Add a UPS and any concerns over powercuts will disappear too. I've used an APC 700 unit with 8 standard sockets which gives about 40 minutes protection.
The funtionality is great too with a good interface to monitor what's going on and the ability for it to e-mail you if there is a problem.
Do check the Netgear site when selecting your hard drives though to make sure you buy the right ones, or take the easy option and buy the unit with them already in.
Build quality is excellent and it's nice to find something that does so much for so little cash.

I was looking for a cheap NAS to use as a media server. After looking at lots of units, cheap and expensive, I went for this one which is about middle of the road on price. It's fast enough to do 2 HD streams at once to my XBox360 and media player, which is why I went for it, the cheap ones aren't. I've added a couple of 500Gb drives so I know my pics and music etc are safe form disk failure.
What I didn't realise was all the other cool stuff it can do. I use it to automatically back up all my PCs and my wifes Mac with the easy software it comes with, as its connected to my router I can now print wirelessly by hooking my printer up to one of the USB ports on the box. I'm even thinking about doing my own web page from it! It's made of metal, really quiet and the size of a big paperback book. Great piece of kit!!
