The KODAK Mini Video Camera is one of a new generation of `shoot and share' camcorders that is designed to go anywhere. It's about the size of a credit card and lightweight so it easily slides inside a pocket - even your skinny jeans; plus it's built to be waterproof and durable to withstand your craziest days.
With the KODAK Mini's intuitive controls it's incredibly easy to shoot great quality video where ever life takes you. Showing off those videos is just as easy whether you share them immediately on the 4.6 cm (1.8 in) vivid, high-contrast color LCD or pop out the built-in USB arm and connect Mini to your computer for hassle-free connectivity - no cables to remember!

The KODAK Mini may be "itty-bitty" - the size of a credit card and weighs only 70g with battery and card - but it's big on video fun. You really can shoot video just about anywhere -- including up to 3m (10 ft.) underwater! The Mini is also surprisingly good at capturing low light video, such as landscapes at dusk or low light scenes indoors.
KODAK Mini is designed so you'll never miss the moment. Power on and you are immediately ready to record with its ultra simple one-button operation - just press the OK button in the center of the navigation controller to start/stop recording video. There's a built-in mic that' ll automatically record sound too. Information icons on the recording screen keep you current on Mini's recording status - recording indicator (a red circle appears when recording), elapsed recording time, battery level, zoom level, the selected video resolution or still photo mode, and confirmation whether a memory card is inserted. The three buttons have a soft rubberized feel for excellent control whatever the conditions and the wrist strap will help you keep Mini secure.
The first time you connect the M590 Digital Camera to your computer, KODAK's Share Button app (a small software program) will launch and prompt you to add login information for your online sharing sites and email address. After that one time setup, pictures will be uploaded to the sharing destinations you've chosen automatically just as soon as you connect your camera to your computer.
The Mini's lens is fixed focus so everything from 50 cm (1.6 ft) to infinity will be in focus and there is no focus lag time when you press record or take a still picture. The up/down navigation arrows control 3X digital zoom. Use the right navigation arrow to change capture modes - VGA (default), QVGA/30, QVGA/60 or still pictures. VGA provides the highest resolution (640x480), QVGA (320x240) creates smaller file sizes, and QVGA/60 (60 frames per second) is the best choice for shooting fast action scenes. The still pictures are 640x480 which is good for email and wallet-size prints. Press the left button to access Menu options:
- Review: playback videos with sound, view pictures, and delete videos/pictures
- Date/Time: set date/time and select viewing format
- Brightness: set screen brightness level to low, medium or high
- Sound: turn camera sounds on or off
- Format Card: Note: formatting a memory card will delete all files saved to the card.
- Information: shows firmware version and ARCSOFT software version.
There's a microSD/SDHC card slot which provides memory expansion up to a 16GB microSDHC card that's good for up to 4 hours of video at VGA 30fps (1GB = approx. 15mins) with continuous video capture up to 1 hour per file. If you run out of memory on the go you can simply change to a new card.
The KODAK Mini comes with a powerful integrated Li-Polymer rechargeable battery (~85 minutes recording time per charge) so you have longer record time than camcorders using AA batteries and the battery recharges conveniently in-camera using the built-in USB arm so you won't need a separate battery charger.

On the go you can shoot and review your clips immediately on the 4.6 cm color LCD screen, and sharing online is quick and easy with no cables to worry about - just open the bottom door and swing out the built-in USB arm to unload, share, and charge.
The first time you connect a KODAK Mini to your computer, you'll be asked to install ArcSoft MediaImpression SE for Kodak software (PC only) that's built-in and ready to use to import your videos and then play, email, and upload with easy one button upload to YouTube and Facebook! You can also cut, trim, extract still pictures, and add effects to your movies (black-and-white, sepia, old movie, fisheye, exposure, sketch, sharpen, negative, water color, and mute audio). If you're a Mac user, no worries, simply drag-and-drop your videos to your desktop as you would for any USB device and use APPLE iLIFE software.
