HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless Printer

An excellent printer providing colour and black and white copies at blistering speed with professional quality. A pleasing design despite having a large footprint for an inkjet but was easy to set up with clear instructions.
I was especially attracted by wireless but disappointed encountering a glitch when first setting up wireless printing. Computers running Windows Vista set up fine but all XP machines failed on set-up although USB wired connection succeeded on either. After extensive HP Support diagnostics, I have now succeeded to get XP machines to recognise the printer in wireless mode and to print correctly.
There is an inability of the printer software to ensure an XP computer with a wireless printer port which had to be manually set up using XP commands.
Without extensive pinpointing from HP, I would not have rectified the fault and would have returned the printer. This unnecessary frustration has downgraded my assessment of what otherwise is an excellent product.
