Description
The DUB-H7 is a 7-port Universal Serial Bus USB 2.0 hub that allows you to connect up to 7 USB 2.0 peripherals and devices to your USB 2.0 ready PC or iMac. Providing an out of the box industry standard bus, this pocket-sized device expands your PC and Mac by adding 7 USB 2.0 ports to your system.
A single Type B upstream port is provided to connect to the host computer, or another USB hub. Configured directly by the operating system, the DUB-H7 operates seamlessly with both Microsoft's OpenHCI, Intel's Universal HCI and USB 2.0 new generation specification EHCI.
As a standard USB hub, it buffers USB data from any attached peripherals or devices in compliance with USB specification versions 1.1 and 2.0 to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus. Supporting both low-speed 1.5Mbps devices, full-speed 12Mbps devices and high-speed 480Mbps, each port creates a bridge between the peripheral and host computer.

A Professional Piece Of Kit
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 31/07/2008
Oh, what joy. I bought this D-Link Hub in desperation to replace a 'pretty', cheap, no-name, nasty 7-port hub I bought (not from dabs) a short while ago. I swapped the kit twice but the replacements were the same; useless. It was half the price of the D-Link but it ended costing me a fortune in grief and lost data. Never again. The D-Link is superb and works like a dream. It's compact, looks good, is well made and... it works. I just sits there and does what it says on the 'tin'. Also, the socket orientation means it it copes with those annoying 'over width' devices that have a habit of turning 7 ports into six or less; a designer who thought about the user for once! In summary: if your looking for a 7-port hub; buy the D-Link. As they say: buy the best, it's far cheaper in the long run.

Transformed my laptop!
Reviewed by Martin Riches. Review Posted 15/08/2008
Without a doubt, money well spent. I have connected 2 external HDDs to my laptop's USB sockets, but found that when I switched one of them on, my internet connection fell over, necessitating a reboot to restore it. When I switched the second HDD on and tried to transfer data between the two, the operation would often freeze. With the D-Link Hub in place, I now connect both HDDs through the hub and 'Hey presto', everything works! I can transfer data from one drive to the other at high speed without losing my wireless network link. I actually bought it to connect an external DVD writer (LG - also from DABS) and it does that very efficiently as well. I am tempted to buy one for my desktop PC also! Not cheap, but worth every penny. Thanks to the previous reviewer. You gave me the confidence to order this .

Excellent USB hub from D-Link
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 21/09/2008
At last a USB hub that just works! I connected it to my Windows Vista PC and it worked immediately. No installation required. No drivers to locate and install. No re-booting. Just plug it in and it's ready for use (under Vista at least). Furthermore it works flawlessly and doesn't take up much space on your desk. Highly recommended.
