I am a games developer, not a qualified CAD operator.
We never use such cards in game development at any level as its important to have equipment which is relative to your customer base, fwiw I'm using a BFG GTX280/OC at the moment, previous card was a BFG 8800GTX/OC2, mated to a QX6700, we keep things real, there is no need for this kind of equipment unless you runnings huge display resolutions and working in CAD.

Quote "This card is not designed for gaming. None of the cards above the GTX Ultra are (Nvidia, Quadro, ATI FireGL)"
WRONG!
I am a qualified CAD Designer & Games Tester, and use this fantastic piece of kit for both areas without any problems what so ever. In fact such a graphics card is best for gaming as it has been created by ATI To write complex assemblies and high end 3D Animations.
Basically Game Developers use this to create new games!!!!
In sync with AVIVO Technology it provides enough horsepower for any of today’s complex games & demanding GUI Application such as Vista.
