To those buyers slagging of Akasa for using thermal tape - the tape they use is generally being acknowledged as the best in the industry and does a remarkable job.
After using it literally thousands of times over the last 10 or so years, I suspect you failed to clean your old chip of the previous heatsink bonding material - that would definitely have caused the slippage.
A bit of isopropy will do the job, or at a push - vodka :)

well done to akasa again all my cooling kits are supplied by them and all do what they say on the box this little chipset cooler is well easy to install (But u might have probs removing the original first) has a nice big heat sink with a proper silent fan and comes in a wicked cool blue cooler to with blue leds
