To configure 7.1-channel audio, you have to use an HD front panel audio module and enable the multi-channel audio feature through the audio driver.
The secondary PCIEX16 slot runs at x4 speeds and shares bandwidth with the PCI Express x1 slots. When the PCI Express x1 slots are populated, the PCIEX4 slot will operate at up to x1 mode.
