Easy Peasey

What a brilliant piece of kit! Having bought a new (faster) desktop I still had use for my old one. Having only one screen and an empty bank balance I needed something to link my two destops together. The D-Link KVM switch worked straight out of the box. Simple to install and use. Compact and comes with everything you will need. Thanks D-Link!

Does what it says

I used it to connect a PC and an old Acorn RiscPC to a monitor. I deliberately chose a KVM with s physical switch as well as keyboard activation and this paid off as the RiscPC needs to sense the devices within a second or so of powering on. By pressing the switch on the D-link at the same time as powering on the RiscPC, I could make it work. A minority interest, I accept, but it does the job.

Good but not perfect!

I used this product to connect two desktop PC's at work, one running XP one running ME and it works great, easy switching via the hotkey with only the tiniest of delay. The only problem I have found is the mouse cursor doesn't work on start up of the PC running XP, it needs to be restarted before it gets going, after that everything is a-ok!!
That little niggle aside this is a very good product for the money and I would recomend to anyone wanting to simply run two PC's through one monitor/keyboard/mouse!
