This cable did work for me, but yesterday it pulled out one of the pins which are used to hold it in place on my graphics card, the bits it screws into (not sure what they're called).
This was after it decided to stop working too.
I'm not impressed with this cable, it's completely died after about a month with me plugging/unplugging maybe 4 times in total, and it nearly took my £140 graphics card with it. It has damaged my card and I will be contacting Startech about this.
I would not advise getting this cable, get a better brand.
