The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Modem Router, XAC1900 is a simultaneous dual-band 3x3 Gigabit router with two (2) USB ports and supports a maximum of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band.
3 external antennas for better coverage and range. This is ideal for media-centric applications such as streaming video, gaming, and Voice over Internet Phone (VoIP).
The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Modem Router, XAC1900 can create three (3) simultaneous yet separate wireless networks:
The 2.4 GHz Network caters to devices in your network that are 802.11n (N-only) and 802.11g (G-only) or a combination of both using Mixed mode. The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Modem Router, XAC1900 wireless network settings include the Mixed mode which allows backward compatibility with Wireless-B/G/N devices.
The 5 GHz Network will only be able to cater to devices in your network that are Mixed, N-only, and AC-only. The Mixed mode will still allow backward compatibility for 802.11a devices.
The Guest Access is an additional wireless network feature that allows your visitors at home to access the Internet but not your local network (i.e., shared storage devices, printer access).
For your connected home, you may use the 2.4 GHz network to connect your wireless devices to surf the Internet and email, share files and print. The 5 GHz network is best for heavy applications including Voice over IP (VoIP) calls, online gaming, and streaming high-definition videos.
The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Modem Router, XAC1900 has built-in dual USB ports that can easily add Gigabytes of storage space to your network by connecting a hard drive or USB flash disk. The dual USB ports of the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Modem Router, XAC1900 also allow you to set up two (2) USB printers at most on your network.
You can easily set up and manage your router, device, and wireless network with Linksys Smart Wi-Fi. Alternatively, you may opt out of a Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Account but may still be able to configure the advanced settings on your router via the Local Access link.
The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Modem Router, XAC1900 is built with security features to control and protect your router and your home network. One of the security features on the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router is its software-based firewall which is IPv4 and IPv6 compatible. These Internet Protocols have their own firewall protection, which are enabled by default.

Unlike typical wireless-AC routers, the XAC1900 contains a built-in DSL modem, making it easy to connect to your DSL Internet service and enjoy fast, reliable Wi-Fi throughout your home without having to purchase an additional device. The XAC1900 can also connect to a cable modem and serve as a traditional wireless router, giving you flexibility, particularly if you ever decide to change your Internet provider. -
Three high-performance antennas for maximum coverage and reliability
To provide strong, reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, the XAC1900 features three external adjustable antennas to ensure that your Wi-Fi signal is at maximum strength, keeping everyone simultaneously gaming, downloading, and streaming without lag. The antennas also enhance 2.5 GHz and 5 GHz simultaneous dual-band performance for a strong, reliable Wi-Fi signal that eliminates dead zones even in multistory homes. The antennas can be detached for future upgrades. -

Leveraging the wireless-AC standard, the XAC1900 delivers beamforming technology enabling the router to strengthen the wireless signal to specific devices, rather than simply sending out Wi-Fi in a general direction. For blazing-fast performance, the XAC1900 is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet ports - which are 10 times faster than Fast Ethernet - to provide very high wired speeds. Using the USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, you can add external storage or other devices, while the built-in DLNA-certified media server allows you to easily search for and play media across your network. -
Monitor and control your network anywhere, anytime
You can monitor and control a home network from anywhere using a PC or mobile device. You can set parental controls to restrict Internet access during certain times of the day and create secure Wi-Fi passwords for your guests. You can also monitor activity on your home network, add new devices, and check upload and download speeds. In addition, you can prioritize which devices on your network receive the most bandwidth to reduce lag times and buffering when you're streaming HD media or gaming. -

To keep unauthorized users from accessing your data, the XAC1900 offers Wi-Fi Protected Setup along with WPA2 encryption and an SPI firewall for high level of network security. Parental controls enable you to restrict Internet access for children. -

Setting up the XAC1900 is a snap. Simply plug the router into a power source, connect it to your DSL Internet service or cable modem using the included phone cable, and follow the instructions. No installation CD is needed.
