Hive Active Heating

Come back to a nice warm house, without ever having to heat an empty one. Hive Active Heating lets you control your heating from your smartphone with our beautifully designed thermostat. And if you've got a hot water tank, you can control that too.

Easy to control
Hive's active heating system can control your heating and hot water (if you have a hot water tank) from your mobile, tablet or laptop. This is achieved by downloading the Hive app on to your Android or iOS Smartphone which will enable you to access all the key features across your home broadband.

Avoid heating an empty home
Up to six heating events can be scheduled throughout the day, so you can wake up in comfort, cut the heating while the house is empty and return to a comfortable home after a long day at work.

All connected - your Hive kit
Keeping the set up and operation simple, the Hive Smart Thermostat has thought of everything you'll need to get the system up and running.
Its Wireless Thermostat let's you control your heating and hot water when you're at home. The Hub plugs into your broadband router to enable your thermostat to be controlled remotely. And the Receiver lets your thermostat and boiler talk to each other when they are fitted close to your boiler.

Hive Geolocation
Geolocation alerts you when you've left the heating on and you're away from home or when you're coming back and the temperature's set lower than you'd like. With these handy, optional reminders there's no need to come back to a cold home or heat an empty one.
You'll find Geolocation in the menu in the latest version of the Hive app - just switch on and set your preferred temperatures and the distances away from your home you'd like to be notified at. It's switched off by default and stays off unless you choose to switch it on.
It won't automatically change the temperature or affect your heating schedule settings - once you receive an alert you have complete control to make a temperature change, or not.

Self Install
You'll need to be competent in electrical writing and DIY to install a Hive Thermostat yourself. For most people, we recommend getting the help of an experienced tradesperson.
