On 30 July the UK drone rules changed to make it against the law to fly above 400ft (120m) and to make it against the law to fly your drone within 1km of an airport or airfield boundary.

- Every time you fly your drone you must follow the manufacturer’s instructions
- Keep the right distance from people and property – People & Properties 150ft (50m), Crowds and built up areas 500ft (150m)
- You are legally responsible for each flight
- Stay well away from aircraft, airports and airfields. If your drone endangers the safety of an aircraft it is a criminal offence.
