Buffalo’s new NAS is a 4 bay customisable storage solution that comes with Buffalo’s free and private personal cloud keeping your data both accessible and secure.
Securely store, share, and save all your data
The LS441D is ready for intensive data storage tasks and when fully populated, users can choose from multiple levels of RAID support for customised capacity and redundancy according to their specific needs.
And no matter where you go, all your data is accessible from any web browser or with Buffalo’s free apps for Android®, iOS, and Windows® Phone. And with Buffalo’s Private Cloud solution users’ data stays protected in the physical location of the device – not off-site in a third party’s data centre.
Back at home, Buffalo’s new LinkStation™ is DLNA compatible, and Twonky Beam ready, and can stream multiple HD films simultaneously allowing each family member to watch their favourite film, on their own device, at the same time. The LS441 can also stream high-end DSD audio files without losing quality.
WebAccess - Free apps and one-click access from everywhere
While on the go, Buffalo's free WebAccess service allows users to create a personal cloud for easy remote access and file sharing with anyone, anywhere over the Internet. All you need is a Smartphone or tablet and a free iOS, Windows and Android app to enjoy full access to the digital assets you keep on your LinkStation™ 441D.
A brand new UI has been designed to provide users one-click access to their most commonly accessed settings.

Backup
Provides simple and secure shared storage and backup for all PC and Mac computers and mobile devices on a home network. Allows users to backup content on up to five home or office Windows PCs by using NovaBACKUP® Buffalo Edition, or back up Mac computers with Time Machine®: ready for multi-client backups.

Built-in BitTorrent
Download media files directly to your LinkStation 441D without having to power up your PC with the built-in BitTorrent client. A BitTorrent client is a program that uses the BitTorrent protocol to manage large file downloads and uploads over the Internet. -
Quick and easy setup
The LS441D is fast and ready for intensive data storage tasks and can even be set up via Smartphones with a new mobile optimized and intuitive interface. -
Direct stream digital (DSD)
Stream digital music in studio quality - the LS441D series has Direct Stream Digital (DSD) playback and streams high-end audio files without losing quality. Buffalo is working together with major Audio equipment brands to ensure compatibility with most network-capable AV Receivers, Players, and Streamers and DSD-native and DSD over PCM file formats. -

Built-in FTP and print servers
Access your LinkStation 441D files via the built-in FTP server or print from anywhere on your network via the built-in print server, using USB 2.0 printer. -

Access music files stored on your LinkStation 441D with your iTunes software. -
Active directory support
Works as a client in an active directory domain allowing the LinkStation 441D to utilize the domain users and groups. -

Supports Apple Time Machine - for backing up multiple Mac computers. -
Backup for LinkStations
Schedule backups from one LinkStation to another over your LAN network or to an external hard disk drive via USB.
