Device Service Wrap

IT device service wrap

Here we’ll take a closer look at what the services journey could look like for a business choosing to refresh devices in a large office.

You've chosen your end user devices - now choose your service wrap

When it comes to IT devices for your people, BT offers an enormous range of options, from all the world's leading IT vendors. But choosing your devices is just part of the story. We can help you do everything you need to prepare devices so they're ready to go for users, straight out of the box.  Plus, we'll help you manage them whilst they're in-life, and securely dispose of them at the end.

Site Survey

A device refresh project might begin with a site survey. It could save you time
and money later on in the process, as you’ll be confident that everything is in place
ready for installation. The site survey will cover things like making sure your new devices
will have access to power and internet connectivity.

Leasing and Finance

The next step of the journey is to purchase your devices, but you may want to
consider finance or leasing options. Lots of businesses choose to lease their IT
equipment because it gives them greater control over their cash flow, and paying monthly
means that your IT spend could be moved from CAPEX to OPEX.

Configuration and asset tagging

This part of the process ensures that when it’s time to install your devices,
they’re ready to go straight out of the box. Configuration is done before
delivery and could include everything from a specific hardware build, to PAT testing,
asset tagging, and even adding your corporate software and image on the devices.

We can install your new devices on a day and time that suits you, which helps
to reduce any business downtime. Your new devices will be unboxed, set up
and ready for your people to use straight away. We can even arrange for your old
devices to be taken away and recycled as part of the installation process.

When your new devices have been installed, it’s important to ensure that you’re
making the most of your investment. We can provide training sessions to help
your people use their devices with confidence, covering everything from
best practice around security to becoming an expert at working on the move.

Maintenance and end of life

After your new devices have been successfully deployed,
you’ll want to ensure that they’re properly maintained, as this is critical for your business.
You can choose from a range of managed services for your device estate, including
different levels of support and insurance with standard and extended warranties.
When your devices reach end-of-life, you'll want to dispose of them securely and in line with WEEE regulations.
