Once your strategy’s set, we can start to organise your IT upgrades and technology refresh

In my last blog, I talked about the importance of planning. When you’re considering a tech refresh, you have to have an IT strategy that you’re working towards. You need to engage the people around you who will help make it a success – your head teachers, governors, teachers, IT support, parents and even your wider community. When considering your strategy and updating your tech, you need to think about how that tech will be embedded into the teaching and learning process so you can get the most out of it. As I said, this was the basis for my last blog, but what if you know what you want to do, you’re just not sure on the how…

We’re brand agnostic. That means we can listen to what you want and need from technology and suggest the best ways to invest for you. It also means we work with a whole host of world-leading brands, so we can find great tech at a great price and hopefully help you make your ever-tightening budget stretch further.

Whether you’re considering a PC update – maybe upgrading your desktops or replacing them for mobile devices, like tablets and laptops – an infrastructure refresh, updating your AV, print or accessories, we can help.

We look after a whole host of IT hardware and software solutions that are often forgotten about in the hustle and bustle of project work.

Where will your next computer and device refresh take you?

If you’re planning to update your IT suites or your classroom sets of laptops and tablets, maybe it’s time to plan something bigger. Rather than just updating your old laptops for new, should you change to tablets or 2-in-1s? Maybe now is the time to move to Windows 10 devices? Or perhaps you want to change operating systems? In any and all of these eventualities, we can offer free, no obligation advice, so why not talk to us about your IT strategy and upcoming projects?

A 1:1 or BYOD device strategy could really engage your students and help you progress to anytime anywhere learning. This is turn can enable students to take control of their own learning, which will help them develop their own techniques to learn, understand and retain information.

Make the most of your PC investment by pairing it with the right headsets

While you plan your tech refresh, you might be considering how to make the most of your current or planned PC investment. A great way to ensure your students make the most of your new devices is to get accessories that optimise their productivity. If your learning environment promotes self-guided learning or has a flipped learning model, investing in headsets can enhance your students’ productivity and help them avoid distractions.

Flipped learning encourages a more collaborative approach to school lessons, this enables educators to guide students through the concepts and engage more creatively in the subject matter. However, this also means students are often introduced to a topic and learn on their own before learning more together in the classroom.
